      <image:title>Home - The Book</image:title>
<image:caption>The Unbroken Line is based on the book of the same name written by Spencer Kopf, a Texas attorney, and former Dallas Cowboys great Billy Joe DuPree, both of whom were responsible for the actions that settled the pivotal 1982 NFL players’ strike. It tells the story of the conditions and unknown world of the typical NFL player in a pre-free agency world. The Book contains a foreword from Pro Football Hall of Fame player and Coach Mike Ditka and is dedicated to the late Lamar Hunt. In addition to the passages authored by Messrs. Kopf and DuPree, the book contains contributions from Noel Brown, Tony Davis, Fred Dean, Joe DeLamielleure, Anthony Dickerson, John Hogan, Barry Horn, Jerri Mote, Scott Murray and Norm Wells, who were all involved in some way with the events that took place in 1982. In the events that unfolded this true story reveals the behind-the-scenes account of the dramatic events that led to one of the most important turning points in NFL player history and forecasted the current and deplorable treatment and situations retired players still face today. With many current players and more than 80 NFL Hall of Famers aware of and expected to support the project, The Unbroken Line is a timely and important story that touches on many issues related to our current political and economic conditions as well as the collective bargaining and player retirement issues being addressed in most professional sports leagues today.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Bill Joe Dupree - Billy Joe DuPree</image:title>
<image:caption>“He was as much a reason the Cowboys won Super Bowl XII against the Broncos, as the football itself.” – Dallas Observer Billy Joe Dupree enjoyed a celebrated career as a Dallas Cowboy from the time he was picked in the first round of the NFL draft in 1973, starting that season and being nominated as Rookie of the Year – to the day he retired eleven season’s later as the Cowboys’ fourth all time receiver. Billy Joe’s accolades and accomplishments in the NFL are many. He was selected to three Pro Bowls as a starter, was an NFC ALL-PRO Tight End, played in three Super Bowls, and given much of the credit for the Cowboy’s victory in Super Bowl XII against the Broncos. Billy Joe began his football career as an All-American, Co-Captain (’72) at Michigan State University where he was also selected as a member of the first group inducted into the Blue Gray College All Star Classic Hall of Fame. Billy Joe’s celebrity and storied awards include being selected to Sports Illustrated All-Time Cowboy Super Bowl Team as well as being selected as Tight End to the Dallas Cowboys’ All Time Team. He is a member of the Texas State African-American Sports Hall of Fame and Louisiana State Sports Hall of Fame. A community activist and constant participant in charity events and fund raising activities – Billy Joe Dupree is widely known as someone who gives back to his community. From supporting housing projects to multi-million dollar initiatives, Billy Joe and his wife Marsha have remained dedicated to honoring their good fortune by supporting worthwhile causes all across the nation. Billy Joe enjoyed a successful business career that began in the last two years of his professional football career and continued for another eight years. Billy Joe’s commitment to the service of others in his community has included supporting local business initiatives, which was highlighted by his appointment to the White House Conference on Small Business by President Ronald Regan. Billy Joe has an Executive MBA from Tulane University. As Co-author of the book “The Unbroken Line” with his long-time friend Spencer Kopf, Billy Joe tells the story of the historic stand-off between National Football League and the NFL Player’s Union where he, Judge Kopf and a handful of other players quietly forced the settlement of the 1982 strike while simultaneously launching a fight for justice that continues in the NFL today.</image:caption>

His current projects include Action Figures, a family action comedy he's writing for Sony Pictures with Ivan Reitman producing, and The Battle for 4/20, a stoner action comedy currently being packaged the Gersh Agency for producer Shaun Redick (Get Out, Blackkklansman). His produced movies range from a musical about high school show choir (Nickelodeonʼs Spectacular, uncredited) to a Disney Channel movie about snowboarding (Cloud 9), to Bloodsucking Bastards, an indie horror comedy he co-wrote, produced, and starred in alongside Fran Kranz, Pedro Pascal, and Joel Murray. In addition to his film work, Justin has written and produced several projects for television including Hell Den, an animated series currently airing on SyFy, and Pitchslap, a comedy show now being shopped with Howie Mandelʼs Alevy Productions. A native of Wausau, Wisconsin, Justin trained and performed as a comedy improviser in Chicago at the Second City and iO theaters before moving to Los Angeles. Justin also got into the hot seat in Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?, but the audience led him astray on a question about organic food. He's still a bit salty about it.</image:caption>
