Kirkland Tibbels

Kirkland began his career in the entertainment industry in Chicago in 1994 where, while earning a BA in Motion Picture Production from Columbia College Chicago and studying at the famed Second City he met producing partner Justin Ware. He has, since 1996, financed, produced and/or co-distributed more than 25 feature film and television projects including the family feature films MYSTIC NIGHTS AND PIRATE FIGHTS and the Disney Channel movie CLOUD 9. Through his production banners Hollywood Farms and Funny Boy Films, Kirkland has more than two-dozen film and television projects in active development including the true crime drama COVER/STORY staring Nathan Lane, Bowen Yang, and Zach Gilford which is slated for production in the Summer of 2023 with PhilmCo and Village Roadshow on to Coproduce. Kirkland secured the rights to and developed the screenplay for the award-winning tween novel A HIGH FIVE FOR GLENN BURKE, and since early 2022 has secured the rights to adapt another 15 published novels including a best-selling library of true crime books by famed author Jack Olsen.
